Slow meandering pathways. Or wicked winter fun. You can find it all right here in Sioux Falls…and often times it wont cost you a thing!
Talk a walk, ride your bike or strap on your roller blades and follow 22 miles of trails that link Sioux Falls city parks. The first rate bike trail system also offers one of the best views in the city as it winds along the banks of the Big Sioux River. A great place to stop and enjoy that view is at Falls Park where you can watch the roaring waters of the Big Sioux River or enjoy a meal at the Overlook Café.
McKennan Park is tucked in the heart of the city and on any given night in the summer, you can catch a concert or live performance in the outdoor amphitheatre. Tuthill Park is THE place to go disc golf or you can try for par on one of our municipal golf courses in the city.
When the weather gets cooler, grab your skis and head for Great Bear Recreation Area for downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding and tubing.
Shopping til' you drop more your thing? Check out the largest mall between Denver and Minneapolis or browse the unique shops in downtown Sioux Falls. From vintage and ethnic wares to modern hip and trendy trinkets, downtown is a good place to experience the shopping and culture of Sioux Falls. After your day of shopping you can wind down at the local cigar bar or eat up at the Sushi bar. Taste a touch of Europe or kick back and listen to live music as you dine on the patio.
The more time you spend in Sioux Falls, the more things you find to do (and you dont have to worry about breaking your budget!)
Did we mention we also have a CineDome, art galleries, museums, a science discovery center, a zoo and a tropical butterfly house? The list goes on and on so click here to check out all of our attractions.
